동물원 앞 광장에 대한 새로운 방향을 제시하는 리모델링 프로젝트다. 기존 광장에 대한 새로운 질문을 던지면서 빈 공간을 재구성한다. 남김과 해체의 결정은 중요한 시작점이 되고 게이트 건축물과 광장의 일체화된 시스템 구성이 핵심 과제다. 동물원이 갖는 다양한 이슈들을 수용하고 보다 공적이고 개방적인 입구광장을 제안한다. 울창한 숲의 광장은 그 키워드로서 그늘 속 시간에 대한 낯선 뉘앙스를 전달한다.
This remodeling project intending to address a new direction for the entry plaza of the zoo. It reconstructs the void space by asking new questions about the existing plaza. What to be preserved and removed is an important starting point, and the main task is to create an integrated system of the gate building and the plaza. And we tried to solve various issues of the zoo including openness and public accommodation. The enriched forest plaza is the keyword, conveying an unfamiliar nuance of time in the shade.
